Nollywood Royalty Dakore Akande graces 2016’s First BM|Pro Covers!

BM|Pro Covers is back with a bang this 2016! Here’s what the head makeup artist Banke Meshida-Lawal of the team at BM|Pro, had to say about their cover star. From various acting roles to becoming a Pampers ambassador, to being on the frontline as MOBOs clothing ambassador as she wears their collections so Beautifully, Dakore never ceases to amaze me. I had the opportunity to watch her on set as the promotional clips for Fifty: The Movie were being recorded.

She belted out her lines with such ease and perfection, I had to ask the director if she was reading through a tele-prompter! No breaks, first take and she was done…. Have you seen her as the rich and fabulous Tola in the movie? I shed tears in the dark as I watched her emotional outburst as a victim of child abuse…. Find her in other movies like Lunchtime Heroes, a film by Seyi Babatope; Unconditional with Uche Jombo amongst others…

Road To Yesterday – Nigerian Nollywood Movie Review

“Why do we love? Is it our way of finding our place in this world?
Finding someone who completes us? Or are we just afraid of being alone? Does life still have meaning without love or trust? – Genevieve Nnaji

Director
Ishaya Bako
Producer
Genevieve Nnaji

Cast
Genevieve Nnaji
Oris Erhuero
Chigurl
Meg Otanwa
Deyemi Okanlawon
Baaj Adebule
Nancy Isime

Synopsis
Road to Yesterday (RTY) is a drama filled movie that tells the story of a particular couple, Victoria and Izu, and their turbulent marriage. The movie starts out telling us of their rocky marriage and thereafter takes us back to the beginning of their love story, and how they ended up where they were in the present time.

The Good
One of the first things that caught my attention in RTY was the casting. Having Genevieve Nnaji back in screen was a delight and the chemistry between herself and Oris was beautiful to watch. However, one of the things that make RTY stand out was the technical aspect of the movie: Picture, Sound design, Lighting.

He wrote on his official website:

"So here’s me in Paris, cold as cold can be, working with my partners on 2016 plans when a bunch of internet folks starting writing the obituary for iROKO (again). Sigh. What reason this time? Netflix announced they had expanded to 130 countries. This wasn’t a surprise to anyone who actually lives in the streaming universe. The accelerated timing was.
