What's Your Selling Point?

There are over 7,178,000,000 people in the world. That's Seven Billion, One Hundred and Seventy Eight Million people! That's a lot!  And the number continues to grow because a child is born every millisecond. In this year alone, there have been over 95 million births all over the world. I could continue to to give you the statistics but it will all come down to the same point that I'm trying to make: What's your selling point?

You see, God is so magnificent such that He is able to create these many humans but only one YOU. Regardless of the number of people in the entire world, there is only one YOU. No two people have the same DNA. Not even identical twins. There's just YOU and that is it. Isn't that mind blowing? So, if there is only one YOU, why would you want to be anyone else but YOU? It begs the question: What's your selling point? i.e. What makes you stand out from the billions of people in the world? Who are you?
Listen, this is not about falling into a category now. Black or white, male or female, tall or short, skinny or phat, christian or atheist etc. All those categories are irrelevant because this is just about you. What is your identity? What differentiates you from everybody else? Everyone is created for a special purpose and a special reason. What is yours? Because that purpose and reason is your identity and your destiny and if you don't know who you are then why would I care to know who you are? Better still, if you don't know who you are, then you are just another statistic in the world; you are simply lost in the billions.
God did not create us out of boredom and joblessness. Rather, He created each and everyone of us with a special purpose in mind. You are not just alive to occupy space. There is a reason you are still breathing. You have a divine calling over your life irrespective of whatever field it might be in and you need to know what that calling is. If you don't already know then you need to search your heart and find it because that is what makes you who you are.

Let me share mine with you, so that you can better understand what I'm talking about, I was created
to Love, to Dance and to Worship. I was also created to have a Voice i.e. I was created to SPEAK. I was made for Greatness, I was made to Make and I was made for You. Now, everything that encompasses me falls into either of these categories and they define me and remind me of who I am and what I'm living for.

Practical Lesson

When you go out today, tomorrow or whenever and you arrive at your destination (regardless of your mode of transportation, lol) I want you to step into that room with your shoulders up, your head held up high and with a beautiful smile on your face. Let the glory and the grace of God radiate around you and just be beautiful. Not in arrogance but in confidence of whom God has created you to be. When you do this, you will command the attention of people around and you would have set yourself on a path of discovering who you are and being able to be outstanding, regardless of how large the crowd is.

But for today I'm asking you, what's your selling point? For me, it's my smile. Regardless of what the situation is, I plaster that smile on my face and every high ground becomes plain (moreover people say I look like Michelle Obama - definitely a confidence booster.) So what's yours? What separates you from your friends? What's your selling point? (These are not rhetorical questions, I do expect you to answer, lol.)

  1. Aww i didnt know you were back, saw your comment on bella.Good to have you back sweetie.Loving the changes you made on the blog...Btw my selling point is my warm SMILE too, many times i can hide behind it on my down days.Other times i smile just cos i look cute when i smile.lol.Nice post girl, actually got me searching again.God Bless

  2. Whosaaai!...you nailed it right on the money....I needed to read this, in recent times, I've struggled with an inexplicable intrigue with/burden for people, I go out everyday and I look deeply at people,at different locations, my vivid imagination tries to wrap my mind 'round the innumerable number pf people in the world and how each one of 'em was created by God in His image uniquely, beats me!...the many without hope, the many I should think were better off not being born, the many who haven't received the best life ever by letting go and accepting an unconditional,all-encompassing love, the many who are just too many, *sighs*...Philosophical much?
I reckon there's got to be a reason for this burden for people....God must be doing something afterall...i'lld just wait on Him.

My selling point? I think that would be my vivacity and tenacious approach to life...

Thanks for sharing Nike, in more ways than one, this doubled as an insightful post as well as therapeutic fix, just airing my thoughts in the comment section. I realize its in the expression of the investments He's made in us that we reflect the purpose of our creation, because just as you said, (planned or unplanned birth) God does not create out of boredom or joblessness....I mega'preciate the reminder.

    Bless your heart dear.
Keep selling that phenomenal voice and radiant smile He's given you for the blessing of the families of the earth.

P.s; I see my comment-question about your striking semblance to Michelle Obama in the previous post wasn't necessary seeing as you already heard that...lol.

Stay delectable! It does become you.
