Her Necessary Evil - by M'aDe

It was around 5:00 am when she strolled tiredly into the departure lounge of the international airport in Frankfurt. Expectedly, she was exhausted from the long flight from Lagos to Frankfurt and the endless immigration checks further compounded her fatigue. as she wheeled her trolley across the hallway, she saw him sitting there, legs crossed with his head bowed. he seemed to be meditating until she realized that he was fiddling with is phone..a blackberry bold.

"Very typical", she thought. A brown jacket lay on the chair by his side and on the floor beside his feet was a brown sturdy luxury briefcase..He wore a pair of tight blue jeans, a blue and white striped shirt with sleeves hand-folded to the elbow. As she approached him, he looked up, glanced at her and watched her as she proceeded to sit adjacent to him.

"Hello", she greeted.

"Hi", he replied and smiled.

Pay $20,000 And Determine the sex of your child…..

So I was reading this article the other day and it talked about how you can pay twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) to determine the sex of your child; you determine whether you want a boy or a girl. Now, before I tell you what I think of this absurd procedure, here is how it works:

  • Several eggs are extracted from the mother by doctors, sperm is supplied by the father.

  • The father's sperm is used to fertilize the mother's eggs.

  • After 3 days, several 8-cell embryos will have developed.

  • Specialists examine the genetic makeup of the embryos, screening for both genetic diseases and desired gender.

  • Healthy embryos of the gender you desire are implanted in the mother.

This is absolute insanity! Why any parent in his or her reasonable mind would want to do this is beyond me. There different reasons why this is wrong, the most important of which is God. I believe couples who do this are simply playing God, and we know what results from doing that. Forget all the scientific XY chromosomes, I say God is the one who determines sex of a baby. I mean he created Adam and Eve for a reason right? Imagine how different history would be if parents of many great men and women had chosen to go the other way. Wait, there is more.

"The Woman In Me" - Etiquette of A Lady

Most women will admit that being a woman is not the easiest thing in the world. Ladies have to take extra care with their appearance. I mean, have you been out with your friends and you see a lady dressed in such a way that makes you ashamed to be a woman? Yeah, we need to talk about that. So what are those things ladies need to take cognizance of?

Number 1: Panty Lines: - This is definitely a no no. No one wants to see your panty lines through your skinny jeans, tight skirt or leggings. We ladies have to learn to wear the "proper" underwear for the proper attire. Don't wear grandma panties if you plan on wearing leggings and a small top. Your panties should be non-existent. There are various kinds of panties out there, choose wisely. And whatever you do, keep the panty lines hidden!

Number 2: Exposing Your Boobs: Heck No! I don't care if Kim Kardashian is doing it or if it's the fashion "in vogue", don't expose your boobs. Trust me, no one wants to see them. They are meant to be private and valuable. What do you want to achieve by showing your boobs? You want to be sexy and given attention? Well, you'll get the attention you ask for, and more; but at the end of the day, you won't leave a favorable memory in the minds of the people that you meet. Moreover, you can be darn sexy without exposing yourself. So, keep them hidden.

"Act Like A Man, Think Like A Lady" - #10TipsToFindingAGodlyWoman

So I realized that there are so many posts out there that talk about getting a man. Posts such as: 10 tips to getting a man, how to get your man to love you, how to get him to propose, and most recently Steve Harvey's "Act Like A Lady Think Like A Man". Notice anything about these topics? They are all about the woman trying to get a man! While I'm neither a feminist nor a sexist, I think all those posts are highly overrated. Moreover, didn't the bible say "he who finds a wife ...?" Ladies, it's time for men to start doing the finding.

How about posts on how to get a woman? and how to please a woman? And tips on finding your wife? All some men do is just to sit and complain about how there are no "good" women out there, that's a load of bull crap. There are millions of great women out there, you just have to be rightly positioned, as a man, to be able to attract a great woman.

So, what are the 10 tips for men on getting/attracting/finding the Proverbs 31 woman?

Tip Number One: Know What You Want. So many men out there are confused, to say  the least. They have no clue about the kind of woman they want. That is no way to live. There are millions of women out there and you can only make the search easier by setting some standards and defining what you want. This includes physical appearance, spiritual life, etc. Ask yourself, who is my kind of woman?

Tip Number Two: Always Look Presentable. It does not matter if the woman is the holiest of all, it is your appearance that she will first see, before she sees your inner man. Work on yourself, on looking nice and presentable. This does not require you to break the bank and neither does it require you to alternate between Gucci and Tommy Hilfiger everyday. You just need to make an effort. Look clean, neat and well put-together. Women love to show off their men and if you are not worth showing off, then you are not worth dating.

So Your Spouse Cheated On You..... What Next?

When someone cheats on you, the first question should not be "HOW" could they have cheated on you, but "WHY" did they cheat on you??

Cheating is a serious issue that should be handled based on the circumstances surrounding each case. The fact that "A" cheated on "B" and "B" handled it a particular way does not mean if "C" does the same it will work for him or her. How you handle situations such as these should depend on the facts surrounding that particular circumstance. You should not base your relationships on rules and theories that people come up with. The first question that needs to be answered is why did he/she cheat on you? So, your spouse cheated on you, what do you do?

Proverbs 4: 7 says "getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment." Another version says that "wisdom is the principal thing, in all thy gettings, get understanding." First and foremost, you need to talk to God. He is the beginning, don't leave him as the last resort. Remember, the bible says in Genesis 1:1, "in the beginning GOD...." Take counsel and direction first from God before talking to the people around you. "For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom" 1 Corin 1:25

If you are still in a relationship i.e. you guys are still dating, and your partner cheats on you, what do you do? You should hold off on getting married. This could have happened for either of two (2) reasons. Number one, God might be trying to show you something, that is, you are in the wrong relationship. Number two, there might be some underlying issues that you both need to sort out. So, hold off on any marriage plans and see if you guys can work it out, serious talk and counselling (with your pastors and mentors) about why d person cheated in the first place.

All that talk about "all men cheat" is bull crap and arrant nonsense. Not all men cheat... and not all women cheat ... So, figure out if it was a one time thing that happened while he/she was drunk, a mistake or a habit that the person has cultivated over the years .... is it something you both can and are willing to work through or is it a sign that you both should part ways? What if you are already married?

The Art of Forgiveness

There is not one person in this world who can claim not to have been offended by someone at one point or another. We are all humans; it is in our nature to be offended, to get angry and for people to step on our toes. So what do you do when people offend you, how do you handle it? Do you handle it by talking about it over and over or by keeping quiet about it? It’s all about forgiveness.

It gets worse. Did the person offend you, he/she hurt you, in the deepest of ways that can never be imagined or comprehended? Are you still living in the hurt and pain, even of the past? There is a way to get out of it, only one way, forgiveness.

Forgiveness is a choice we all have to make. It does not make you weak; rather, it heals and makes you stronger. Forgiveness means letting go of all the hurt, the grudges, and the bitterness that hides in the soul. When you don’t forgive, you only hurt yourself, you hold yourself back. You have to let it go; it’s time to let it go.

I remember a time in my life when I was hurt by someone I cared about. To make it worse, I got my grades back from school and they were not what I expected. I was angry, drowning in self-pity, I was going down a dark path. I reacted to everything in anger, I was living on the edge, ready to explode at anything. I prayed, and prayed for healing, and I was healed. Thank God for restoring me, anger is definitely not something you want to live with.

I know it’s easier said than done to forgive. But the first step is making the decision to forgive and to let it go. After that, just trust God to help you with it. Anger and an unforgiving spirit is not a good combination. It eats at your soul and you grow darker by the second. But when you forgive, it’s like the sun starts to shine again.

Another Talent I Possess: Dancing! :D

Hey guys! Hope you had a good weekend? Well, over the weekend, I was invited to minister at a prayer seminar. It was a blessing, both for me and the members of the church. Below is a video of the ministration.

God has blessed me with such much talents, how better to use them than to share them with the world?

Thanks for all your support, love and encouragement.
